Why are NY Judges the Divorce Industry Employment Agency?

The divorce industry has many players and the some source if employment for many is Judicial court order appointments. In a typical contested divorce the judge can order a financial evaluator, a custody evaluator, a legal guardian not to mention attorneys fees orders and court referees. Considering two lawyers in a contested divorce a judge can order 6 professionals. All of these professionals bill litigants hourly except referees who volunteer or get small court payments. This is a root cause of corruption in ny divorce and the appointment process and billings of these professionals must be evaluated as part of divorce reform. Currently Judges choose whomever the attorneys want and a few insiders take the majority of court appointed work.
